Carol Day 24

Carol had 5 separate visitors today. This was clearly encouraging for Carol. A few dozen cards arrived in the mail today for her also. Thank you!! And Carol is reading her novel regularly now. The music in her head has gone. Her body is stronger daily. She has lost 15 pounds and is at 113lb now, but Carol does eat well. We are talking with the Dr about high protien diet for muscle strength.  She cannot still get around very much without assistance, but she can do some walking on her own.
Our daughters were really encouraged by Carol's progress and attitude today. Siena said: Momma is REALLY doing well today. She seems like our Momma.
Those who visited Carol today say she is as she always has been, lovely, concerned for them, wanting to hear what is happening in their lives.  That's my Carol, Pastor Craig

Hi Pastor Craig, Carol, and family, I don't really know you in person, but I've been praying for you fervently since I first heard about your ordeal from friends here in Turkey. I noticed there were no comments on recent entries, but don't think that we've forgotten you! We're continuing to pray for you as you continue on your road to recovery. God is so good. The verse on my "verse a day" calendar yesterday was from Psalm 63, and I thought of you all. Thank you so much for your posts. My faith has been strengthened to see your faith. May God bless you all in the deepest place.

So great to see Carol outside and surrounded by her girls! I can also see that familiar and "lovely" Carol smile returning. Continuing to pray of course, for encouragement and strength and confidence in God's good plan for the Poston family. Love you guys and can't wait to see Carol back in Temecula.

Dear Craig, Carol and girls,
Here's one of my favorite hymns:
Day by Day -
Day by day, and with each passing moment, strength I find to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment, I've no cause for worry or for fear.
He, whose heart is kind beyond all measure, gives unto each day what He deems best;
Lovingly its part of pain and pleasure, mingling toil with peace and rest.

Every day the Lord Himself is near me, with a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me, He whose name is Counselor and Pow'r.
The protection of His child and treasure is a charge that on Himself He laid;
"As thy days, they strength shall be in measure," -- this the pledge to me He made.

Help me then in every tribulation so to trust Thy promises, O Lord;
That I lose not faith's sweet consolation, offered me within Thy holy Word.
Help me then, when toil and trouble meeting, so to take as from a Father's hand;
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting, til I reach the promised land.

Blessings on you all,
Karen, for all the Bower family
